Senior football photos

For those of you who don't know my full time job is a photographer at Footlocker.com/Eastbay. Most days at work we are shooting product or producing images other people ask for. So to allow our own interest and creativity to grow we each get a creative week. We are given one day to shoot and create anything we want to be presented to the group and critiqued. So with the help of my co-worker, Jenna, who also made some amazing images, water balloons and spray bottles we captured these images. A big thanks to Connor, a senior at SPASH, who was a great sport putting up with the water and the cold night at the stadium for some unique senior portraits!

Chippewa Falls Wedding

I had the honor of capturing Stephanie and Eric’s beautiful fall wedding in Chippewa Falls. The weather was a bit uncertain but we were lucky enough to have the rain hold off until after all the photos. With the great location for photos after the ceremony, the soft overcast light and a great couple with a fun wedding party I couldn’t have asked for more!

After making such amazing images at Ferguson’s Orchard for my styled shoot I decided to go back again this time for a family photo shoot. It was a perfect fall day with a cool breeze and a family of wonderful to work with. While the sun was a little harsh I think we made it work and got some great images!

Surprise Proposal-Engagement Photos

For those of you who saw my previous post about the styled shoot at Ferguson’s Orchard in Eau Claire here is the second half a surprise proposal! As planning for the shoot was beginning I knew I wanted a real couple to model for the shoot but who would be willing and available on a Sunday evening in the middle of summer was a bit of a problem. So after asking a few people I was talking to my co-workers at Eastbay and decided to ask fellow photographer, Sam if he and his girlfriend, Sara, would be willing to help me out. During this same conversation, held at the Pizza Hut lunch buffet across the street from the office, 2 additional co-workers were with us and it was throw out maybe Sam should ask Sara to marry him during the shoot. I felt like it was said in passing or just as a joke but after Sara agreed to the shoot the surprise planning was on! There were a few bumps along the way with keeping the secret but it all worked out. She had no idea and we had great photos throughout the shoot and I was so honored to be able to document this amazing moment in Sam and Sara’s life!Thanks again to all those involved in planning the shoot and those that helped!!!

Ferguson's Orchard Styled Shoot

After more than a month of many emails and planning everything came together on a perfect summer evening at Ferguson's Orchard in Eau Claire, Wisconsin for a styled wedding shoot. I was contacted by the orchard to take promotional photos of their orchard that will now be available as a rustic wedding venue. Rather than just shoot the venue I proposed we set up a styled shoot. With the help of many contributors and a couple of friends to be models I think we put together an amazing shoot that I finally am able to share with all or you! It took over 7 hours of set up the day of and ended with a surprise proposal, (but more of that to come in the next post.) I thought it was about time I dove into this world of blogging, so what better subjects to start with than my wonderful niece, Kate and nephew, Joey. After last year doing a separate photo shoots for each of them, Joey at his football game and a styled Tea Party shoot for Kate. This year I wanted to come up with a theme that I could include both of them and show the brother/sister love that is always there but sometimes not seen when they are at each other’s throats. So after a day of set up and help planning from their great parents we weren't sure the weather was going to cooperate but in the end we were able to get the shoot in. And here are some of my favorite’s images we captured!
